This course will provide you with basic information on how to manage a variety of emergencies/disasters in your home, neighborhood and community. This class is taught by the Community Emergency Response Team (CERTS). They are trained to help the local emergency responders in times of disaster and prepare you for emergencies.

This class will use the 9 Essential Skills teacher training program to help substitutes learn to make a positive influence in the schools that they work in. Participants will learn practical techniques that are simple and easy to learn, teach responsibility, lower stress levels, and have immediate and positive effects on students and school.
